2008 RACING

Michael came back with a new LM chassis for 2008.  In the first half of the year, the Backyard team ran 8 or 10 nights at New Smyrna, with a couple of top 5 finishes to show for it.  However, this car has been parked since late June.  This team is funded "out of pocket", and is currently collecting money to get back on track.

HOWEVER, there is good news to report....Michael won at Daytona!  

On September 28, he ran a double header on the Daytona 3 1/2 mile road course.  After finishing second in class earlier in the day, the trusty Pinto came back to win the SPU class, defeating Mustangs, Porsches, Pro-Challenge cars and several other types.  This 30 minute race was Michael's first win in SCCA!

When is the last time you saw a Daytona winner with duct tape numbers?
